Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Jenna grew up in Redmond after spending part of her childhood in New York. Her connection to horses began early at Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, where she learned the value of servant leadership, faith, and honest work. Much of her teenage life was spent in the Sisters community, and no matter how far she traveled, Central Oregon has always been home.
Long Hollow Ranch holds a special place in Jenna’s heart. At 17 she got her very first horse job here as a wrangler during the ranch’s dude ranch days. She spent a summer riding the fields with guests from around the world on her horses Dakota and Kally and fell in love with the land and the rhythm of ranch life. That season planted a seed she did not know would someday grow into a calling.
Jenna followed her wanderlust and went on to build a diverse and adventurous career in the horse world. She worked across the country in cutting barns, hunter jumper programs, youth camps, and trail outfits. She even spent time in Costa Rica caring for horses with her dog Luke at her side. Wherever there were horses, wide open country, and good people, she found a way to be there.
Eventually, she returned to Central Oregon and gained invaluable experience working at Black Diamond Equine Veterinary Clinic. For five years she worked as an equine veterinary assistant, sharpening her technical knowledge of horse health and deepening her foundation in equine safety and care. She later stepped into hospitality and event leadership at Brasada Ranch, where she produced more than 100 weddings and events and discovered a passion for designing meaningful guest experiences.
Those years, although unexpected, shaped her into exactly who she needed to be to return to Long Hollow Ranch. In 2023 she stepped into the role of Ranch Manager and began bringing new life to the ranch through wedding experiences, trail rides, retreats, corporate events, and hands-on ranch activities that connect people to the land and each other.
Jenna is a CHA Certified Level 4 Riding Instructor with more than 15 years in the horse industry and professional experience across multiple disciplines. Her background in ranch operations, equine veterinary care, guest safety, and event planning allows her to bridge both worlds with ease. She is dedicated to preserving the western spirit of the ranch while creating authentic, unforgettable experiences for every guest.
Behind everything she does is her husband Matt, who is as much a part of the ranch as she is. He works full time as a Deschutes County Road Supervisor in Bend but still finds time to mow the event lawns, fix fences, repair equipment, and support projects around the ranch. Jenna often says she could not chase her dream without him, and anyone who visits the ranch can feel the heart and teamwork they pour into this place.
For Jenna, Long Hollow Ranch is more than land and buildings. Her heart horse Janie found her forever home here, and her late dog Luke ran across these same pastures. This ranch holds pieces of her story and continues to shape the chapters still being written.
This is not just a venue. It is a place where sunsets slow you down, where the air smells like sage and hay, where love is celebrated under big skies, and where people arrive as guests but leave feeling like part of the ranch.
Come say hi anytime. You can usually find Jenna somewhere on the ranch with three dogs, a few goats, and a trail of cats following behind her. She is always up for a ranch tour, a good story, or a cup of coffee on the porch. That is western hospitality. Slow down, stay awhile, and let the ranch do the rest.
